Avon Review MLM

As one of the 10 largest cosmetic companies in the world, becoming an Avon representative allows you to work for yourself whilst having a huge company backing you.

About The Company

At over 125 years old, Avon is without a doubt one of the most established cosmetic companies in the world. By using a multi level marketing model for distribution this has allowed Avon to become a household name with the company claiming that one in three women being reached by Avon and 6 million women seeing an Avon brochure every 3 weeks.

What Product am I Selling?

Avon only sells their own branded products which are in turn only available through Avon representatives. Avon specialise in cosmetics and this is reflected in their line of products which include bath and shower products, makeup as well as skin care products and their own line of fragrances.

How to Apply and Training

Applying to become an Avon representative is handled via online application and an interview with an area representative. There are no joining fees with Avon until you have sold your first products at which point there is a £16 fee. This is paid in two installments, £10 on your first order and £6 on your second. There doesn’t appear to be formal training but you have support network of other representatives surrounding you with Avon seeming to have quite a community in this regard.

How Much Can This Earn?

Avon don’t publish their commissions on their site (at least as far as I could see) but my research indicates that commissions are typically 20-25% of an order depending on the size. This isn’t as high as some other companies but there remain advantages to using Avon over them.

Conclusion

The biggest benefit to being an Avon representative seems to be the power of the brand more than anything else. In the UK Avon are synonymous with multi level marketing distribution networks as well as being a well respected brand. A brand that continues to grow its customer base and market share. Becoming an Avon representative presents arguably the easiest option in terms of becoming a marketer for a multi level programme simply because most of the work is done for you before you even approach potential customers because of the power of the Avon brand.

I also tried Avon years ago and made very little money. Just not worth the effort.

I tried Avon years ago, it makes pin money, and if that is all you are after fine. Wasn’t for me, to many people just not at home and you end up chasing around after people for a few quid.
