Created by Mark Thompson, Social Kickstart is a piece of software that allows you to update all of your Facebook fan pages as well as monitor your advertising campaigns from one place.
What is the product?
Social Kickstart is an application that according to Mark Thomas will allow you to improve your presence on social media sites whilst also growing your traffic and leads. As a piece of software Social Kickstart is easy to use and provides several rather interesting functions. The first is that by using Social Kickstart you can upload posts etc. to all of your Facebook fan pages from one place, either following a release schedule or doing it “there and then”. These posts can also be configured to allow you to post to Twitter and LinkedIn as well. For the posts you can get content from other sources with Social Kickstart providing the ability to share content that has already gone viral on other websites such as Pinterest, YouTube and Instagram (all of which Social Kickstart can sync with).
In terms of the advertising side of Social Kickstart it comes with an integrated ability to create your own picture based adverts that will allegedly allow you to creating “eye popping” adverts, even if you are new to this kind of thing. You can also monitor any advertising campaigns that you have been running on Facebook to see what has been working and what hasn’t etc.
What is the investment vs. the rate of return?
Mark Thompson is currently offering Social Kickstart on an “introductory” offer. This means that you can get lifetime access for a one off cost of $197. This is in contrast to the usual options which are a monthly subscription at a cost of $17 and an annual subscription at a cost of $97.
Mark Thompson is offering a 30 day money back guarantee on all options however as payment is handled via JVZoo you have to claim this directly from the vendor. In terms of the income potential for Social Kickstart, this is a very difficult thing to gauge as it isn’t really a direct money making product.
Does the product provide value for money?
Personally I don’t believe that Social Kickstart does provide value for money however for a very small minority I can possibly see how it would be helpful.
To credit Mark Thompson, what Social Kickstart does it does a pretty good job of. I’m just not certain that what it does is really of much use. The fact is that everything that Social Kickstart can do isn’t really anything new. It simply makes the process quicker and more efficient. With this in mind it is a tool with a very limited scope for use by most people.
Don’t get me wrong, if you are a marketer who heavily relies on Facebook and fan pages and you have a significant number of them then I can see the appeal however I do feel that it is something that is rather tempered by the price.
The fact is that for what it does, I simply think that Social Kickstart is too expensive.
