As mentioned, My Post Magic is a WordPress plugin that allows you to capture information via Facebook by linking adverts to videos that you post. The videos must come from YouTube which isn’t really a huge concern as this is undoubtedly the largest video database online. Nor do you have to upload your own videos although I believe that to get the most out of My Post Magic, this is advised. Jeff Long provides full training for My Post Magic in the members area which is in video form and this really teaches you what you need to know about using My Post Magic.
What is the investment vs. the rate of return?
There is a free version of My Post Magic although you will be offered an opportunity to upgrade to a premium version a cost of $97 per month or a one off payment of $497 for lifetime access. There are unfortunately no details about what this premium version offers that makes it a worthwhile purchase and personally, I felt no need to pay this to find out. In terms of potential earnings, it is difficult to gauge. My Post Magic is a marketing tool and as such this would be dependent on the product you are offering.
Edit – Since authoring this look at My Post Magic, I have discovered that you cannot make a new account. Whether this is a temporary issue I cannot tell and the support link is not working.
Does the product provide value for money?
Given that it is free it is hard to not see some value in My Post Magic, but I don’t see it as a must have marketing tool.
Conclusion
My Post Magic is a nice idea on paper but unfortunately the execution is somewhat lacking. There have been issues in getting it to work properly and when it does the pop up for capturing information is rather different from the usual Facebook interface which makes it look a little iffy for viewers. I know that if I saw it pop up, I wouldn’t be overly inclined to enter my details. This is why I believe that My Post Magic would work best with your own content, as it allows you to point out that this will be popping up. All in all, this has some way to go, but the idea is a pretty solid one.
